For all children, for generations, building a cabin has been a game of choice. So if it takes the shape of a rocket, it's a dream come true!
So that your children can conquer space and let their imaginations run wild by exploring the galaxy from their bedroom: discover how to help them make a cardboard rocket!
List of equipment:
-
A pair of scissors and/or a cutter
-
Three identical boxes 40cm/54cm and 25cm high
-
A basic brush
-
Painting
-
Scotch tape
-
A sheet of yellow paper
The stages of implementation:
Step 1: Assemble the rocket base
Start by unfolding the three boxes neatly, then tape them together lengthwise, and finally close them to form a large rectangle.
Step 2: Making the Rocket Roof
Then cut out the four corners, about thirty centimeters from top to bottom and form a pointed roof with the two opposite sides. You can then tape them together to fix the point of the roof. Then cut out the two sides along the roof that you have just formed.
Step 3: Cutting out the portholes and door
Using a felt-tip pen, draw two circles on the front of the cardboard and then cut them out to form the portholes. Do the same thing to form a small entrance at the back of the rocket.
Step 4: The Rocket Wings
It's time to give wings to your rocket!
To form the wings, simply cut a small piece of cardboard (with the cardboard scraps that were used for your circles) in the shape of a right triangle, 5cm/10cm, then tape it under the flap of the cardboard. Repeat this operation on the other side.
Step 5: Painting
This is the favorite step for both young and old children! It's high time to paint your beautiful rocket. Let it dry for a little while.
Step 6: Decorating the rocket
Now you can decorate your rocket!
To do this, cut out stars and a moon from the yellow sheet of paper and stick them to the rocket.
Your DIY is finished, your rocket is ready to take off towards dreamland!
An expedition to Mars? The exploration of Uranus? An epic journey across the Milky Way, or maybe all of these at once… Let’s go!
