DIY - Pierrot Gourmand star crown

The holiday season is coming and what better way to decorate your home than with a beautiful homemade starry wreath? This DIY project is perfect for adding a personal and sparkling touch to your decor.

Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or a beginner, this wreath is easy to make and only requires a few simple materials. Follow this step-by-step guide to create a wreath that will brighten up your front door or home with a warm, festive feel.

The Material

  • A roll of gold aluminum foil (available in arts and crafts stores)
  • Fir and eucalyptus branches
  • A metal hanger
  • Gold metal thread
  • A pair of scissors
  • A hot glue gun
  • A wooden skewer for engraving aluminum foil
  • A battery-operated light garland

The stages of implementation

Step 1

Form the base of the crown using the metal coat hanger. To do this, relax the shape until you obtain a circle. Keep the loop at the back to hang the crown later.

Step 2

Make the star ornaments.
Unfold the paper flat and draw stars, shooting stars, first doing the outlines freehand then letting your imagination run wild for all the pretty details. Then cut out each pattern using a pair of scissors.

Step 3

Wrap the battery-operated string lights around the wreath and hide the housing behind the foliage and fir branches.

Step 4

If you want to be able to reuse your star ornaments from one year to the next for Christmas, make small "1" shaped picks that you will hold on the back of the stars using a dot of hot glue.

Step 5

Stick the stars and shooting stars into the fir branches of the wreath in a harmonious manner, alternating small and large ornaments.
